Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium
The Belgian artist Nicolas Kozakis explores and creates on the interface of sculpture, installation, video, photography and film. Working cross fields he traces the history of shapes, forms, symbols that often function as codes. The artist is playing with the idea of double standards of a consumerist society, that is saturated by images, advertisements and the logic of capitalism. In objects and installations of contradictory material, he reflects implications of a fragmented world and asks for a vigilant beholder to reassess the human connection to it.
